Apologies if this is a dumb question, but how does the gadget position work? Right now I just dropped one of my starting WRs into that slot so I have no clue when and what plays they rotate in on. Do they automatically step onto the field in certain formations? Is this a role where if I've got a player in that lineup slot that I'll have to manually sub in? Thanks yall.

If you try different packages on a formation, one should read gadget slot or whatever. It is so you can quickly sub in the gadget player, without manually doing it.

what he said. for example in some I-Formations as well as Gun Formations you can run a package where your Gadget, who may be a HB/WR or TE, will lineup as running back

no worries. just remember to change the package back if you want to get rid of you gadget lining up at that position

How do I do it? For example I have the 87 Travis Hunter. He never subs in for me at gadget and he is my gadget
