Good Read : How NFL teams are using cover 2 cover 6 and cover 4

Found it interesting dnt see a lot of this out of madden

Apparently seahawks won with cover 2 or 2 high

Past teams who won superbowl used to use lot of cover 6

well as of recently as in the two super bowls  people are putting physical players in the slot often times a safety in nickel packages.

i've seen emmanwori play close to the line of scrimmage and dejean (who was made fun of with safety jokes.) play closer to the line of scrimmage to the point where the slot eliminates runs and windows to pass.  we're seeing evolution to the game in real time.

A lot of these defenses also focus on taking away the top reciever/recievers. Making the QB’s internal clock feel off when his initial read or reads arent there creates confusion and breaks their confidence. Depth at WR and having multiple good TE’s is gonna be an important component in the NFL.

I'm not the type of person who wants Madden to be 1 to 1 with irl football, and I know it's a bunch of ones and zeros, but it is funny how I'll run cover 4, and they'll run 4 deep routes, but there's still something open deep. When someone does hover blitzes or halfback direct against me, I just make a joke of it and like to think about what it would seem like in real life, like imagine there were real cheese plays irl and teams would get mad because teams would spam it lol

100% I’ve lost so many games due to trying to cover deep and the AI messes up. It’s insane how players just spam the same plays on both sides of the ball and the AI can’t figure it out lol. Especially when my guys have 96+ speed, 99 zone and 98+ man and they still get beat on dumb plays

Yeah fr its so funny how that works, there's nothing more that I can do to buff up my players. Obviously i know people get beat irl, but it's not every play, like how, when I'm guessing pass, shaded outside, does my 99 ovr corner get beat on a corner route?
