Good Morning All...have a "rookie" question dealing with Edge Threat that I hope you can help me out with. For this question I will use 6-1 (both OLBs on the line of scrimmage). If I have Edge Threat on the LOLB and the LE will the LOLB cancel out the LE (LOLB is at the line of scrimmage with Edge Threat and is rushing...the LE is also rushing)? If I have Edge Threat on both the LE and the RE will the OLBs (both Left and Right without Edge Threat) cancel out the DEs Edge Threat as they are on the line of scrimmage, but not rushing (dropping back into coverage thus rushing 4)? Hopefully I have not made this confusing. My goal is to have two Edge Threats out there, but don't want to be negatively impacting the abilities by not positioning the players correctly. Thanks to all and hope you have great rest of your day.
Whoever is setting the edge in your formation is who you want edge threat on, so the outermost rusher. If you run 6-1 your OLBs should be the ones to have it if they are going to consistently rush.

Makes sense...thank you.
As a fellow 6-1 enthusiasts, you want the edge threat on the player(s) who are consistently going up against your opponents LT/RT.

Makes perfect sense...so my "guess" is when running the zone blitz play (where the LOLB blitzes and the ROLB drops back into coverage (the four lineman rush) I would want Edge Threat on the LOLB and the RDE? On the play where both OLBs blitz (the lineman rush also) then the Edge Threat ability on the RDE wouldn't really be effective (because the ROLB is blitzing)? Not really that big a deal I guess as the abilities are not really over powerful, but I just would prefer to not be wasting the AP on something not useful based on the plays I called. Really appreciate ya.

I don't stress too terribly much about the positions, as you can have your lineup structured in a way that somewhat moves your "ideal" edge rushers around. Should still reliably work for both LBs and DEs. I rarely stick in a single formation for even a series, let alone an entire game. YMMV.
Since pairing 0AP Edge Threat + 1AP Double or Nothing on George K. he's absolutely devouring dudes. Highly recommend if you have the AP. Typically i prefer to spend the bulk of my AP on defensive backfield. It's a passing league, after all. I try to generate pressure in creative ways.

IMO, if you are running 6-1 and like to zone blitz, I would prioritize MZKO/LA on your OLB's over edge threat.
