Between unfamiliar playbooks and draft options that don't allow you to fill meaningful gaps (like three rounds of power halfbacks), do you just quit? Every time I try to play through with terrible squads, I just get pummeled, and even the wins are agonizing affairs.
I keep going until I lose. Who knows what happens. If I always quit after getting a bad squad, it would take me hours to get my flawless. Take it as an opportunity to learn the playbook (if you don't already do that).
If my 4 Dbs are all 89-90 ovr, yea I quit and redraft.

It's aggravating, because I went from the latest House Rules where defense meant something, even against glitchers, to a mode where glitching dominates.

100% I feel bad for those that don't get the playbook you need. I am 11-2 so far running straight cheese.
That 1 loss came from my fiance turning my console off when I was 4-0 on my second run 🙃.
Second loss was redrafting. I am not going to try if all my dbs are 89-90 ovr as stated above.
The only positions that I absolutely need to be decent are my DBs and RB.
I play pretty much only to have fun in the draft, so either if I have 2 QBs I was forced to pick, no elite level players, a trash playbook, or the guy comes out running double passes or RPOs, then I quit

I'm sure you meant to say "ex" fiance 🙃.
I got the option to pick two starting QBs and two RBs in the same draft 🤔

I've encountered this on multiple occasions.

😂😂 she didn't mean to, but I was HOT to say the least.
Draft mode in previous MUTs was more fun for some reason. Pretty sure there were more rounds. Plus, doing it this late in the year takes the fun out of getting a couple superstars. It was exciting getting to try a player you probably would have for a while yet.
I play through and get my ass handed to me 😂. Actually pretty rewarding to get a rare win-streak flying blind. Wished I could run into someone who quits out immediately. So far that hasn't happened for me though most my games do seem to be against people running the same ol' queso so I imagine there's a strong contingent re-drafting.
Also pretty sure Draft wasn't putting [non-Genki Force] quarterbacks on the field on defense.

I cannot fucking stand this game mode, especially this late in the year. Â I've spent countless hours and a ~thousand dollars on my MUT team, i want to use my damn fucking roster that i've invested so much time, effort and resouces into to play some damn football. Â Not have a flippin Snoop Dogg (FS) as the only thing in the NFL Draft event / game mode to get excited about. Â The game simply does NOT play well without abilities. Â I wish this weren't the case, i wish they were not part of the game and our defenders could play pass coverage without UC or whatever.
It's not fun to face dudes who have subbed their speedy WRs in at DB or whatever the latest and greatest gimmick is to exploit the horrendous game mode and beyond broken logic. Â If i wanted to play a streak simulator, i'd play against the CPU. Â This isn't something that should be a once or twice in a Madden calendar year type event, why not have a Draft mode that anyone can play, all year long, with constantly updated cards? Â Giving players and opportunity to at least have a chance to interact with the new content without having to plunk down millions of coins each and every single week. Â Doesn't improve pack sales, EA quite frankly does not give a flying fuck.
I'm basically ONLY playing Squads this late in the year. Â Having such a fun time with a great trio as broken me, to the point i'm unable to play basically any other game mode, especially not some janky ass Draft shit. Â But yeah, after playing against the real Snoop on Thanksgiving Eve, this was fun/funny to see again. Â I'm currently 1-0 in this new event and was fortunate to get a win.

This. Very valid point re: spending the time and resources to BUILD a team only to engage in a mode that throws it away at the end of the year.
