How to run defense on this game?

I have been getting a lot better at offense but as soon as I play a good player my defenses are getting torched what should I run and what adjustments or whatever or preplay stuff do I do

Use the concept options instead of formation . Then 3-4 pick quarters for deep play and nickels for run and try other plays to broaden your play list. And on the goal line pick a goal line play most likely a pass defense.
