I'm on the ps4 version - i've tried creating a new character then demanding a release and switching back to the owner but i can't seem to sign the created coach. Is there a way?

I think the only way would be to sign a coach, then edit him to what you want him to look like. Hope this helps!

Just make one when starting your franchise.
When you start, you have the option of using a custom coach

So we can't be an owner AND have a custom coach on the same team? Is that what I'm hearing? WTH? That's dumb. I wish I could at least promote a coordinator to the Head Coach position if nothing else. I have so many franchises where I'm 'rebuilding' and as a force of habit I'm always a freaking owner. In Madden 15 I always played as an owner because I just wanted to relocate for kicks and giggles and that's why I keep playing as an owner in Madden 25. I don't relocate anymore, but because I was always a team owner in Madden 15 I keep doing it in Madden 25.
