Announced on GMM today that the above will not be a thing going forward in Madden 23. But apparently there is to be an exciting replacement that the GMM host was not allowed to talk about yet.
My personal opinion is that I think that it's a shame that it has gone as claiming the free player every four weeks was a cool thing. Hopefully the replacement will be worth it.
What do you think? Happy to see WCW go? Or are you of a similar mind to me with it?
I think WCW was nice for some players to get cards that normally wouldnt but it was boring and static. I missed one week somehow towards the end and didnt get to get the last free card. Maybe they do something similar and change the program up a bit. Hopefully they dont make it like TOTW where every position got a card and now its just garbage fodder.
We'll all miss WCW. Hopefully there is another way to claim a free player every so often through a program.
Just another excuse & an example of them cutting back on content in previous games. They should be adding value to our experience not reducing it.

I agree with you. It’s a shame too see it go, and it’s another L by EA taking away more content
Last year's WCW was really good and was the first WCW promo that was any good in my opinion.If they wasn't replacing it with something else then that would be terrible but I'm excited to see what they do. Hopefully it still involves training so that training prices stay strong. I think they will do good and the new promo will be better than WCW.
