[SOLO GRINDERS ONLY] Let me hear your thoughts on the grind trend.

Hey guys I hope everyone is doing well I wanted to get thoughts on how you see the way Madden 23 is leaning towards online play only. Keep a few things in mind here when posting, please.

1) Don't expect to have top-tier rewards for doing challenges.

2)Online players should 100% have better rewards than us because of all the issues they face.

3)Be respectful to the online players for the grind they put into that Mode.

4)Post your thoughts on what you feel the solo grinder would feel like they're doing something in the game to help them Level up through Field pass.

5)Would you like to see doing challenges and Solo battles bring back Training like they use to have?

6)What ways could EA do to make you happy just doing a solo grind to make it fair to us(KEEP ? 1 AND 2 IN MIND)when you answer this one?

Anyways guys let us hear your thoughts on this and let's see if we can pass this along to be heard before this gets to where it's all online play only. As most know I'm an offline guy only and I will not be forced to play something I don't like no matter what the reason I don't like it (This is not the point)Its mainly to get the thoughts out to the right folks to be heard and so the solo only guys can keep having fun in Madden.

I love this game and have for years but it has been through offline only and I would like to keep playing it for years down the line but if in fact, it's going to all offline with little to NO benefit for solo grinders then my days are and will be 100% over within that mode and I will go to CFM only sadly.

**Again I want to stress to all online guys you are the real heroes here for doing any of that stuff**

Gotta have more promos more frequently

I'm fine with having a competitive tab and agree they playing online h2h should get more rewards. Here are my issues though:

1. Be consistent. One week has vet/mvp/legend or higher, sets, ect and take it out the next.

2. Crap rollouts of content. Showing these weekly sb rewards then they disappear after playing your 1st solo battle. Or the fact that some start at level 4 others at level 1. Also, people like myself not getting the added headliners objectives.

3. Absolutely no communication on the weekly resets of sb. Also no real way to voice your issues cause ea help is a joke 

4. Why have online and offline put together in a competitive pass? Should separate it if you're not actually going to have a top 100 in solo battles. How are you actually competing against other users?

Edit: just re-read the post and forgot to answer #6. My thought on it would be to maybe just have a solo battles only pass or objectives list for the bnd pack/comp player. Dont even have to Include the midfield, red zone, and td packs since comp players have to really deal with crap to get those. Have it to when you have to win like 20 solo battles on legend for the bnd pack and 40 for the comp player.  Or actually have your battle score count and you have to get so many points to get each item. Kind of like how solo battles was each week where you were just trying to get to legend tier.

The main points that would help in my opinion are:

1. (Most important as this is making people want to stop playing the most IMO along with bugs) Communication or documentation needs to be improved on what to expect with the field passes and when objectives expire or reset. For example, the complete 10 games on Legend difficulty reset at 8pm ET on the past 2 Sundays, but that it isn’t stated anywhere. We are grinding based on what is said in game and it is very frustrating when the rules change midway through or were not stated well. Bugs will happen and they should be addressed, but the lack of communication is unacceptable.

2. Provide some field pass XP for completing solos and solo battles. It doesn’t have to be repeatable, but there should be something.

3. At least Keep the solo battle reward structure from the first 2 weeks or provide weekly rewards like previously years. I thought the first 2 weeks was okay (I don’t think we have to be able to get the top reward without playing H2H). It would be good to improve some, but making it worse this week makes it not worth our time.

These are some of the requests that I would make to improve the game experience for solo players:

4. Bring back the weekly promos that we had last year to provide more solo content.

5. Re-validate set requirements, they seem too high for a small overall boost (5 84s for 1 87 for example).

6. Add back a pack that is low cost with low payout, like the Get a Player 500 coin pack. No one is making a lot of coins with these and it gives a low cost way of making some coins as long as you are willing to spend the time.

I am against what it has become. Prior, I could get on Monday/Wed/Sat do everything I need to do for the week and be good. Some weeks had more to grind than others but I could easily do all my SBs, catch up on promos and do everything I needed to. (and I could level up to the cap in a weekend if I was feeling like a real bum). These days every game wants to be a daily/grind game and when you do that, you lose a good chunk of player base. I already play Destiny and Fortnite as my daily grinders (Fortnite less so) but thats what my friends and I play. So now, even doing the daily min of 2k yds/pack/set plus doing what I need to do for SBs for extra H2H pass is a lot. 

They really need to fix menu speed and the AH/Sets tab. Thats going to be even more of a mess very quickly. 

No we didnt get a lot to start with grind wise (no gauntlet for example) but the season didnt start yet. We also have multiple programs coming back and then even more when the season starts. People are just jumping the gun, power rushing everything through and then complain theres no content and dont take a break. I would also like people to be more precise when they talk. Just because its a program, doesnt mean theyll be challenges or free cards, sometimes its just new sets coming and you have to be careful how you phrase that to people (IE unless something changes the first actual promo is going to be Halloween but well have lots of sets prior).

And talking about sets and need fixing. We need to go back to NAT and not NCAT. 1 card going into the set (cough Headliners cough- in this case 2/6) isnt going to be bad. You still have to pay for 65%+ of the set. That will elevate some coin strains as well.

If people could stop complaining about people complaining that would be nice.

I play other games and I also bought Madden 23 so I can say whatever I want about it.

Actually, no you can't.  This is my third message to you.  There won't be a fourth.  And I'm not asking you again.

Ill try to follow the rules but it is hard. 

1.   I get grinders will not get top tier rewards.  In the past WL and Seasons players alway were rewarded more packs and coins.  I never had an issue with that.  I do have a problem that some of these rewards are not obtainable without playing h2h.  I was able to get Lawrence last week but it would be nice if grinders could buy him in the AH.  They said they were sorry about the All Madden screw up and were going to give us a free 89 but again you cant obtain it without playing h2h.  

4.  Keep solos updated.  The fact that once I had Lawrence on Saturday Morning there was no reason to play the game.  I don't mind the FP but your need to get something for playing the game.  They need to look to MLB the Show and their Xp paths.  

5.  No training and I don't care about SB rankings but keep the reward path consistent.  Some people had progress reset others not.  Then they cap SB wins with no warning (communication would go a long way).  Again if you are going to offer rewards and make them desirable, players should be able to earn them without having to worry if the system with glitch and progress will be erased.  

6.  I would move away from solos and play more h2h and im not terrible, last year I was alway 15 to 18 wins in WL and if someone was super cheesey I would just quit, but the h2h game is broken with loop blitzes and DCs.  Being able to out glitch your opponent is not what I would consider to be competitive Madden.  MUT has been on this play fair campaign for a few years now but they dont code the game that way.  They reward glitchers  and dont punish dashboarders.  If they fix the game people would not be so angry, its not like these are new issues that we have not had for year.s.

I’m a fan of the how it is currently- I used to grind solos for hours and hours in the past just to have a competitive nms team but now, I find myself playing way less solos and it’s nice tbh. The solo challenges are mostly one drive challenges instead of the past where it’s constantly playing an entire half or even an entire game. I like the new competitive pass structure for rewards, it makes me actually try most games and make SB way more fun because of that. My only wish is that they make the 1 CP per win higher OR add more stat challenges  so you could reach 200 cp without playing H2H if that’s what you wish. 
 

I also wish H2H would give 1 CP per win. If you play squad battles a full game feels like it takes twice as long as a normal game and you get little to no CP from H2H wins. 

TLDR: H2H wins giving 1 CP per win (cap of 30 like for mut Champs) + a higher cap for Solo Battle wins OR more stat challenges so 200 CP can be attainable without playing H2H

Why are people forced to play h2h and Champions if they don’t want? I should been able to play the game however I want to earn rewards

Its competitive pass, you dont HAVE to play anything. Set for those that dont grind and just want to play h2h. You can do both, you can do neither. People somehow dont get not all rewards are for everyone. If you cant beat a game on the highest setting, you cant get the best prizes- for madden, this just means online. Sadly, its not usually skill but how good you can cheese and block cheese. 

I wish they would make those cards AH especially being limited. I think doing that and making Draft Champs go to comp pass would be two positive things moving forward.

Simple give us rewards back, i play online and i dont understand the problem with offline players getting the shaft, the solo and solo battle grind is still a grind and ppl need to be rewarded for their effort, who cares if offline players get rewards. You wont face the offline players anyways
