What's this thing about 5 accounts per console?

I keep hearing you can't have more than 5 accounts per console, why would anyone do that? What if you had a big family and only one console? Or what if you had a series x and a xbox one, would you be able to have more than 5 then? I don't see the point of having so many accounts though

Its called Farming/ALT accounts and many folks do this every year.I believe its only PS that you can have only 5 Xbox has unlimited i think either way it is a thing and many do it year after year.

I was permanently banned on 3 of my 5 accounts for Madden 21  for farming. It’s not having  extra accounts that’s against TOS. Funneling coins or players through trades is. I.n my case I made a bunch of really unfair trades. I was dumb and traded silver for elites. Maybe it would of happened if I was trading low 80’s for high 90’s too. It’s not worth it for me to take the chance. I had some real money (points) in my account. The points and my team were all gone without a warning. Not complaining, I deserved it lol.
