Zero Chill....what did ya think?

So now that ZC is basically over...what were your impressions? Enjoy it? Make some decent changes? Grind some coins?

I personally enjoyed it. Added a decent amount of fun cards (I'm one of those savages who loves the OOP cards), was able to turn cheap snow coins via rolls (I think I probably rolled 5-10 thousand times...sucker for those things), and had a decent time in HR. Some of the actual ZC releases themselves were underwhelming for me, but overall I enjoyed both the content, the schedule, and the coin making opportunities.

How'd yall fair?

I thought it was decent. I did like we have some actual FUN AND USUABLE OOP this year.

Watt is a great blocking TE. Hendricks is a nuts user. Henry is the best QB ever. Deion solid as always. Fridge and Vita are crazy fun. (Still need to try Vick for my Steelers TT but I worry about carrying). And nobody mentioned Ngata SS, wonder how he would do if he was a higher overall....

Lots of solos which is good for leveling since they capped what you can level now (boo).

I think they went overboard on OOP. As a giants fan, it would have been nice to get a couple decent cards in 3 weeks of content. House rules was nice for something to do, but would have been better if the rewards were nicer. Odell is cool in theory but I'd rather get a usable card than a gimmick good for a couple weeks while the strat cards are active.

I thought it was good for solo grinders, H2H players, gamblers, and AH workers. I figure most players fit into one of those categories.

I went with meh. I like when OOP cards are usable, but when Derrick Henry is arguably the best QB in the game, that's a little much.

Hey yanks good to see ya.

I can see the dispise for a lot of the content if you run a TT and were one of the teams left out.

Buffalo got two RGs (one was the LTD Spain, not sure if thats a ZC card?) an 85 and three gold cards in the promo (sans the stocking stuffer everyone got). I'm in the minority, but I've shyed away from TTs since retrurning to MUT around this time last year. Y'all can have your +1s, I prefer the flexibility of roster management.

Patterson's OOP card was a great HR reward, but the other two were meh. I didn't have much motivation to grind for those two. Brady would have been usable if EA didn't completely nuke the QB market w/ Tebow/Henry/Hurts.. With HR though, the mode is quick which I've always been a fan of. I would play HR only for minimal rewards if it was a permenent thing. Just lemme goof off for a bit then be done.

Ill forever be a fan because of this play. Thats Gil on the sticks. Dudes users were sus, but still. Not many cards making that play

Overall, I liked it. I didn't have as much time to play as I would have liked. I think some of the OOP players were interesting. Derrick Henry QB felt like a Golden Ticket though. I was not expecting him to be the best QB in the game.

So let me start by saying I loved getting all the OP Bronco cards i always wished for. Especially that Tebow.. But ultimately the December promos are the root of what ruined this year's game for me. Here's why:

I had great success doing the Bo Knows reroll method, sniping training, selling at peaks, and got really lucky with dozens of great pulls from packs. Notoriously having little-to-no coins; I built my Broncos theme team to its max potential, which was 94 O/94 D/94 OVR. This included a true No Fly Zone defense along with Tebow, Ware, V Davis, and Paradis all jacked up from the Ghost strat card. I've never had a team this good at this point in the year. But there were coins to be made, so i sold all my top cards with plans to buy back on Christmas during the crash. So i used that capital and made millions of coins and bought back all of my players. Then i go to try it out in WL, and to no suprise I was matched up with nothing short of pro-players or tryhards or whatever you want to call them. These games were not fun for me at all. In the meantime i also grinded my ass off to reach LVL 30 and got that Jerry Jeudy card all powered up (great card btw) but when it was all said and done i was super burnt out from playing and i wanted zero parts of H2H.

To top it off, my son broke buttons on both of my PS5 controllers, so not only did i not want to play, I actually couldnt even play if i wanted to. (important buttons jammed like X and the left joystick)

Noticing the market was still trending up, I reluctantly liquidated my team again and turned my binder into coin. I then took the coin to exchange "for mhc" and that plan backfired, with me sending millions to somebody and getting absolutely nothing in return. So yeah, as i pound sand, I'm going to be taking a huge break from Madden, dispite how much i enjoyed the recently released content.

I have loved it and had a blast made so many upgrades and pulled a ton of LTD's from rerolls.More than i ever have in this game in all my years of playing.Hope they keep doing this awesome with Promos this year.

Patterson was fun, but OOP QB Tom Brady was sad. Odell is fun in theory, but his carry is terrible. If there was alot of Giants to start, it wouldn't be bad as a topper, but he was the best card the giants got if you don't consider lineman real people.

zero chill was really good to me. its usually my favorite promo in Mut every year. i pulled about 12 limited cards through reroll 85+ packs and completed every ornament challenge except for maybe 2 of them. The only thing this Zero Chill was missing was Night Train Lane.

Overall, I liked it. I was able to add a decent number of cards to my team without spending coin and I spent a decent number of coins to upgrade my team.

Some of the challenges were too long, but other than that, it worked out pretty good.
