I'm considering buying the new Rising Stars Grant Delpit as my new user. However, the Lineup Builder only allows linebackers and strong safeties to be put at sub lb. I know I've seen youtubers have players like Sean T in a position like sub lb. Can you put a FS at sub lb in the game. Or do you have to put them at SS in your lineup in order for them to become eligible. I'm so confused! :) Seriously tho some answers would be great.

I think it depends on what defensive scheme you run like I run a nickel defense and I can put my free safetys in the box if I want but I play on current gen and don't know how it works on next gen.

You have to sub them in whole you are in game (press pause and move them up in your depth chart)

I get my FS at Sub LB by leaving the 2nd Sub LB spot on your team empty. Don’t put anyone there on your lineup screen in Specialists. Now granted my first Sub LB will always get priority on The field (Derwin) but if I run a Nickel set that has 2 linebackers, it puts my Derwin at Sub LB #1 and my Sean Taylor at Sub LB #2 lines up next to each other.

It should allow u to sub in any linebacker in nickel, dime, quarter, or dollar sets. U can not sub in linebackers from 3-4, 4-3, etc.

Yes its gotta be this way or manually sub every game.
They should just let you do any safety/lb though in sub.

You can sub in FS’s at SubLb in game without pressing pause. When you’re choosing a play on defense go to:
-Formations
-Find the formation you want to use (i.e. Nickel 335, Dime, etc.)
-Press R1 (PS4)
-Press Left or Right until you get to the position you want to sub. Press X (PS4)
-Select the player from the list press X
Notes:
-Sometimes when you sub a Safety or Corner it automatically moves another player.
-I don’t play Xbox so I don’t know the buttons to press on Xbox but they should also be on the screen.
