Ranking Which ROH 99 Overalls are End Game

So this is only for the set players, but I wanted to share my thoughts on which of the 5 99 ROH champs will likely stay on your squad through the summer and would be worth the investment.

1. Polamalu- Troy has a ridiculous ability stack with and without the token. He’s got great stock stats, amazing traits and of course he animates like Troy meaning he is a playmaking machine. His height might be a concern for some, but regardless of your TT, Troy is definitely an endgame SS/FS card.

2. Hester- His abilities are fine. His mid RR is suspect. But he has excellent stock speed and some nice baked in abilities. He’s not an endgame WR but he is likely going to be the best returner through the end of the year. Special Teams can definitely be the difference maker in MUT. Hester seems like a worthy card to add to your team again regardless of TT. Endgame card.

3. Vick- His ability stack and X-factors are  excellent with the token. However, some people will struggle using a lefty. Still Vick is the best mobile playmaking QB in the game not named Bo. However, I don‘t think he is an endgame player, especially without the token. They’ll be some solid QB releases through the end of the year that will diminish the card’s long term value. Likely not endgame.

4. Dickerson- With the token, he is fine. However, he doesn’t do anything that Bo doesn’t already do. He is also kind of sluggish. In addition, without the token, there are far better RB options out there that are more affordable and even free. With the token, he might be endgame on a TT, but that’s it.

5. Watt- They did this card dirty. Unfortunately, without a good x-factor this card is fine. It’s definitely not Aaron Donald. Not an end game card for anyone.

What are your thoughts on these cards? Any staying on the squad through summer?

Agreed on all counts. First two are useable for sure, even without the token. Vick and Dickerson are token-dependent IMO. Sure you can use Dick's other abilities, but you're right, Bo RB is better if you don't have the token. Watt isn't bad, but not game-changing by any means. Sucks his only X Factors even with a token are ROH ones, which are definitely not worth it, compared to Combine or even AKA ones.

I run a Colts TT and was HYPE to give Dickerson a shot. He literally fumbled on his first carry in Champs and I’ve noticed the sluggishness as well, even with the token I’m not really a fan so far and having buyer’s remorse

I would swap Vick and Hester, as PLE is better then SFL which puts him above Bo. I have Vick with HRM, PLE and GS for 5 ap which IMO, and given his base speed, he's the best qb in the game even without the token. 
 

Other then that, Great take.

None, Combine is the better promo

They are all pretty overrated honestly. Especially Vick and Dickerson. Easy Ws

I am still rocking a 60/60 combine tt, but I had to pick up LT and Troy because of their stacks.  I also picked up vick cause of his PLE discount and he as been a better deepball thrower then bo and does not miss the same throws that Bo misses when he is under pressure, but if one likes to spam rollouts then Bo still may be the qb for them. Otherwise Vick clears qb bo.  

I do agree with you on RB/TE Bo, as they are better then Dickerson/Tony G.

Yeah I agree with this, I picked up Vick, Tony, and LT.

I liked Vick overall but lefty QBs just make my brain feel funny, so I'm auctioning him back off.

LT and Tony are starters, replacing Musgrave (who replaced Vernon) and Fridge (I don't like his ability stack), and I'm considering trying Troy.

I was just super hyped for ROH but did not realize how dependent most of the champs are on the token, and how limited that token availability would be.

Combine gave some great athletes with great ability stacks, and the X-Factors are just so much easier to work with than ROH.

Strongly disagree with the take on Watt. That run stuffer as a passive ability along with secure tackler is the perfect answer for the run metta that is incoming with Dickerson. Running JJ and Sapp with run stuffer/secure combo has  neutralized it. Also if you have the ap available Jonathan Joseph may be the best cb in the game with his abilities which include ST

just because I think Watt is a very good non-xfactor pass rusher while hester is good for KR and thats about it and is beat by most new WR.

Not gonna lie, i FOMO'd hard into this program... I believe i was only hyped up more for the Superbowl content.  Still need to spend some time doing a proper deep-dive, but after a few roster adjustments and an evening of gameplay, I can at least comment on the players/cards I've added to the roster.

1. TroyP -- without a doubt, this is clearly THE best card in the entire promo.  No token required to make him amazing.  He's my starting FS at the moment.  All of a sudden i feel liek i've got a TON of wiggle-room (regarding AP) on defense.
2. Eric Dickerson -- i totally snoozed on this, at least initially.  I wasn't even intending to try him out, as I've been quite content with any of the following (maxed on 70/70 SB hybrid theme team, so 99 SPD across the board); Emmitt Smith, Beast Mode or even Raheem Mostert and/or CMC (for my non-Angry Runs, which are much less viable now).  I am extremely glad someone talked me into tinkering with this.  I didn't realize how vital that extra few inches would be on a running back, holy hell at 6'3" Dickerson just teleports across the field, leaving everyone in the dust.  And then once that Angry Runs X-factor triggers, goodnight.  No regrets here, almost certainly will continue using my token on him unless/until I'm compelled to try Vick (QB).
   • Ultimately, i think using the token on Vick, while preserving Bo Combine HB is almost certainly the way to go, a better overall setup, but i'm going against the grain, for now.
3. L.T. -- i know you said set cards only, but i got a lucky pull from Step-Up pack offer, so i'm gonna try to use both of these RoH rushers.  Was playing a bunch of Nickel 3-3 Cub last evening and LT just continued to scream into the backfield, he had more sacks than JJ had tackles all evening, but definitely a result of the scheme, not so much a reflection on either card.
4. JJ Watt -- not great, not terrible, he may be a better fit on the interior, but I unfortunately do not have Aaron Donald, nor William Perry.  I've got Christian Barmore and/or Warren Sapp to hold down the interior, for now.  My run defense is on point after the patch, with JJ Watt & LT as my edge rushers.  Still hoping for those D-line LurkArtist abilities to trigger, hasn't happened, but i'm going to probably jump and shout if/when it finally happens.  My run defense is solid, JJ Watt (even without Secure Tackler) is doing an amazing job shedding and bringing down the ball carrier.  Is Run Stuffer basically both Inside Stuff AND No Outsiders, or am i assuming incorrectly here?

Haven't tried Vick yet (or Hester), but i started my MUT life using Steve Young, the lefties never bothered me a ton.  I'm also a statue in the pocket, so rolling out one direction or another hasn't been a regular part of my scheme, although i tinker here or there (mostly with Roaming Deadeye).  I'm content with using 99 SPD Deion as my primary returner, even if Hester may be a touch better.  Then Randy and Isaac Bruce (both with Jukebox) as my 2nd and 3rd returners on my SB + 49ers hybrid TT.
