DT2 subbed in against my will

For some reason, every time I line up in any 3-4 position, my DT1 goes to RE and my DT2 (who I don’t have abilities on) goes to nose tackle. I’ve switched the lineup around in ways, including changing around my RushDT to see if that helps, but no luck. Id love to not have to sub players around mid game every time because I use three or four different 3-4 sets (odd, over, cub, etc.) Anyone have any solutions?

Unfortunately, I haven't run 3-4 in years so I don't have an intelligent answer for you.

I don’t think these positions apply to 3-4 but have you checked your RLE RDT etc?

I kind of understand, something similar was happening when I was running the ravens multiple defense certain sets I was having an issue with my Staring LE being switched out for my LE 2 and I just played around with the RLE RRE and RDT lineups as well as upgraded at my backups 2 deep everywhere on the line till I got a combo I liked on the field at all times.

Yeah I tired moving my RE to RDT just to see if he’d replace my DT2 at nose tackle, but no luck..

What players are you using at those positions? Perhaps it could be the game autosubbing players to try and get the highest ovr players on the field?

I wondered this as well but I’ve got RE: 93 cam Heyward(inside stuff), DT1: 96 Michael Pierce (inside stuff), DT2: 91 mean Joe greene (no abilities), LE: chris Jones (inside stuff). So it’s literally shoving out better guys who have abilities just to put him in there
