I feel like I'm losing to users who are manipulating mechanics in the game that I simply don't understand. Weird stuff where their guys suddenly seem to run at 110% of 99 SPD, and pass up my own 99 SPD guys that have their guy beat on streaks. The knockouts are possibly the most aggravating; my guys have knockouts too, but they never seem to trigger.
I'm seriously at the point of accepting that DDA really is a thing, and that the winning users have been manipulating this all along.
Bo Jackson at RB is a fucking joke. RPO+Bo Jackson lit up is some of the most toxic shit to ever exist in MUT. Get rid of that bullshit

You're not wrong, unfortunately, although I'm not convinced DDA works as the community thinks, if it exists in these games at all. However, I also wouldn't trust anything EA says.
But back to frustrating gameplay, which I'm definitely qualified to comment on. The real skill gap is having played sufficient hours to begin understanding which route combinations will dumb out defenders, or force "mismatches" (although this isn't the best term to use here). The best example I can think of is using Streak routes to pull away deep Safeties, in order to create open space for another receiver to catch a pass in. This is very common and I might even consider it good football. However, when dudes start abusing sideline throws, my defender knocks the ball out, but the buggy ass game still gives the opponent a completion, well... not sure how much longer I'll keep doing this.
I was determined to get good, but I also was naive to think that a competitive simulation football game what hundreds of thousands of dollars are potentially at stake, well... I was dumb enough to think that meant some level of fair, balanced and competitive gameplay. I want this game (or any NFL game) to be decent in the worst way, but it's simply not possible as long as EA holds that exclusive license. Especially not as long as they insist on using their outdated, busted ass Frostbite game engine from liek 2013. Aargh.
Sorry, not even sure what I'm ranting about at this point, merely pissing into the wind. You're definitely not wrong, it requires hundreds of hours of gameplay to notice all the warts, but once you do, it can never been unseen. Some people would rather remain wilfully blind or ignorant to how truly lazy, pathetic and nefarious EA Orlando has become. None of us want to admit we've wasted hundreds, if not thousands of dollars and hours of our time for such a truly terrible NFL experience. We expect premier hearing the legend of big John Madden. He's rolling in his grave while his kids cash those royalty checks, super unfortunate.
So much for teaching the game of football, this will only drain your wallet and leave us frustrated in the end. I basically view this as a casino for kids at this point, hardly a competent fatball game. Uggh.

You’ve more or less identified the thing that does have me most frustrated from a football IQ perspective. I get the concepts. However, I can’t teach my players to execute based on my knowledge of the concepts. I have to understand Madden AI more than I have to understand football. And unfortunately it is readily evident that the users who spend many hours playing this game continue to discover AI-defeating tactics. Keeping up with this “knowledge” is a lot of work.
Still, I could almost manage to swallow bad AI were it not for the fact that my players always seem to perform worse than those of my opponent. After completing about ten Team Diamond master sets, I have been able to put together a very solid roster with many LTD’s, so I’m no longer being out-spent by my toughest opponents. Still, it seems like my team is being outclassed. My offensive line can’t run block, but my defense gets gashed by the run even with run-stop personnel and alignments. My defenders swat passes while my opponents’ defenders pick off passes thrown under identical circumstances. My receivers keep getting the ball knocked out long after the catch. My pass blocking is inconsistent, but my blitzes never seem to get home even when my usering forces my opponent to hold the ball for three or more seconds.
It’s not just the AI. I’m missing something here.

i think it should be expected that anything new and possibly exciting ea implements theyll do it as brokenly and lazily as possible

yeah it’s a really good point. Having a football IQ absolutely helps with madden, but you still have to communicate it to your players. Getting them where you want, how you want is the biggest skill gap.
what schemes are you running on O and D? And beyond that, maybe take a couple days off and come back with a fresh mindset. Couple days off madden always helps lol

It's out of singleback. I stopped it a bunch but last night, the unstoppable Bo was too much and i fucking lost to it

this 10000% real life concepts mean almost nothing at all compared to knowing the broken ai logic and coding madden gives.

OH I hate that one. Dollar and user the weak side linebacker and loop in is the best defense for it, but it’s a hard one to stop

I usually spread my d line and user my LB closest to the slot WR to try to get a pick but for some reason, his QB was throwing it over my user

How about your ability stacks? Do you have Linchpin, this will help improve your run blocking timers (Andrew Thomas LT gets both Secure Protector AND Linchpin for 0AP, highly recommended). Secure Protectors (x5) across your entire O-line is also an absolute MUST, IMO if you hope to play any competitive online modes. Nothing else in the game will help slow down, let alone hope to counter all the various D-line X-factors we're seeing, such as Unstoppable Force and/or Colossus.
Defense is a bit more complicated. You have both Deep and Mid Zone KOs on all of your outside corners (and deep Safeties), correct? Not only do the KOs help ensure the ball gets knocked out, but this could potentially help explain how or why your DBs aren't reacting to the ball. The more important or more crucial component (or benefit) of various KOs is the fact that it gives your defenders "improved reaction time" -- basically putting eyes in the back of their helmet. This is the difference between a corner turning around the moment the ball is released, versus perhaps not trying to make a play on the ball whatsoever. It's severely underrated and why we always should choose KOs over Pick Artist, when presented with the choice.
Unfortunately, as you may have already figured out, stats barely matter. The game is run on minimum thresholds, once our players meet these, everything is abilities. Everything. Pick Artist or not, i'm still seeing tons of swats and such, but also a fair amount of picks. Just not as many as i think should happen.

It's most frustrating when you've selected your abilities for your lineup to stop junk like the RPO's, but when you need the ability to trigger once you've done everything else precisely the way you must, your user gets air on the jump like he's holding a 50-pound plate under each arm.
The things in this game that require the least skill to execute persistently get some of the best results. The key isn't actual stick skills once you've repeated the necessary pre-snap inputs. I shouldn't have to work so hard to stop what I've correctly predicted was coming.
