What will it take for you to stop using HB/QB/TE Combine Bo Jackson?

When combine dropped I wasn’t eager to add the Bo calvary to my team.. after a few online games in squads/H2H it became very obvious how advantageous it was to have at the very least Bo HB with angry runs. 

To be honest I even prefer Bo QB over Anthony Richardson simply for my preference of Trad 4 over Slinger 3. The 89 TUP seems like a minor inconvenience and I’m sure many who have used Bo QB will agree. 

Obviously we know that EA is genius in terms of getting us to upgrade right when we feel like we’re set for the foreseeable future. 
 

How much better can it get than an Angry Runs Bo Jackson runningback, vanguard Bo TE?

I’d appreciate any honest input on what the community thinks it will take to venture off of combine players

I was the same, I thought I was not going to get any of them but now I have the QB, RB, and TE, I don't run Vanguard, because I'm not big on running but I do use Yac Um Up, and it is crazy op having a 98 spd TE that moves like a running back that is guaranteed to break the 1st tackle. I'm probably not going to move on from them, until they release someone that is too good to not pick up, like a Crazy OP Gronk. But the only flaw of the QB bo is that he has that low TUP but I just run the strat card that adds 3 TUP so he misses no throws.

If auto X factors are the metric by which we measure if a card is good or not, this game is fucked.

If easter doesnt have them then ROH program will have some form of xfactor that stays on all game for ap. Followed by backyard ballers who have op passive xfactor abilities.

I'm with ya here... i'm not sure it's physically possible to improve upon a base 98 SPD (+1 strategy card, which has NOT been nerfed), no theme team requirements... with an X-factor that remains active the ENTIRE game, regardless of how poorly our opponent plays.  It's already extremely frustrating to have my 0AP Secure Tackler (Bo ROLB) USER bounce off of BeastMode, or Bo (HB), etc... having to tackle the ball carrier twice each and every single down is unfortunate.

So what, unless they give us a 0AP Derrick Henry style Angry Runs player with max 99 SPD... and that is basically free, or readily available for anyone/everyone to build a set -- EA shot themselves in the foot dropping legit premier content.  Felt a bit early.  I continue to stick with hybrid SB / Niners theme team, with a handful of Combine players, including Bo (QB, TE, ROLB)... on and big Q at LG, for 0AP Post Up & 1AP Secure Protector.

I would suspect the Bos along with my SB players will be my lineup until Golden Tickets come out...and even then...I will just be burning the coin since I can't take it with me...game is kinda of a joke.

Yes the game is.

OOP cards NEED drawbacks. The Bo cards basically have none. The linebacker is literally amazing at pass rush AND coverage with endgame stats in both. The QB has virtually no drawbacks either, with good enough passing stats to make all the throws and FREAKING UNSTOPPABLE TRUZZ WITH 90+ TRUCKING AND AGILITY AND CHANGE OF DIRECTION AND JUKE AND UGH. And freaking Bo at tight end? 98 speed? Jesus.

I say all this knowing I'm using QB Bo myself lol. 

Literally all of his cards are endgame tier at EVERYTHING. They're basically golden tickets and play way above 96 ovr.

I think I will keep nearly all Combine 96+ players for the rest of the year if only for their motivators. My offense is only two players away from all 99s and defense almost as close. Bo TE as 99 OVR FB1/TE2 with Vanguard on all game is ridiculous.

QB Bo is probably the easiest of the three to move on from. Only because I could realistically see myself starting another QB if EA gave them enough discounts that they would be worth it over Bo. And I think it's likely we see a qb that gets those discounts before the end of the cycle

HB or TE Bo are much tougher to replace and honestly might be endgame worthy. Any card that would replace them needs to have an xfactor that's practically on for the whole game. In addition to that, the replacements probably also need ability discounts that are better than what Bo gets. 

I could see myself moving on from them if EA massively reduced the ap cap or if they increased the cost of their xfactors by a lot. But I'm not sure if that's likely to happen
