Base Aligning in Big Nickel OG (OVER G)

Why is it when I base align from "Base"  in BNOG it moves my defenders all over the field?

For example, Ill come out in "Base" in Cover 3, then "Base Align", and my two hook defenders switched spots. I figured maybe they would just play in a standard hook and the play art was just crossed up, but post-snap  they actually crossed each other back to their original hook. Basically, they switched spots after base aligning, then after the snap they switched spots again. 

This is just one example. It also messes up my safeties. Safeties will switc spots and the after snap run back to their origina side of the field.  CB at times.  Pretty much everyone at times, depending on formation. 

Does anyone else have this happen and why is this happening?

I cannot speak to "EA Logic" or how this stuff actually works as is implemented in the game currently... however, much of this could be potentially based on your opponent's scheme, if for example, you are coming out in Default alignment and your DBs should/will typically cover their assignment, but when in Base alignment, you'll come out in the same basic formation, regardless of what play YOU or your opponent are calling.

This can help to disguise your coverages, not allowing your opponent to have any tells on what you're running, but typically works best if you are almost exclusively playing Zone.  Base alignment while running Man will inevitably get your dudes cooked off the release.  And yes, everyone has this happen, it's by design.  For example, i run a lot of Dollar and coming out in Base alignment enables me to disguise if i'm going to send an A-gap blitzer, or perhaps drop 8 back into coverage.  Although there are other tells with my particular setup, so it's hardly a perfect solution, but that's how i tend to use it.

Thanks for a reply. Yes, I always have my setting on "Base". Sometimes I will Base align depending on formation and such. This is when BNOG gets all wonky. 

I think its a glitch in the game. Coding error.

I love to play base align defenses against Trips TE.  Cook up deep out with a free form deep ball out and away.

Happens to me as well.. pretty sure i base align again and it fixes their zones.. or its "show blitz" and it kinda remaps it... im goin play in a little, ill come back and edit this -

Make sure flip defense is off
