I keep getting a loss if I go to check a replay

I’m on Xbox series S and sometimes things happen That I miss so I would like to  see what’s going on , so I  make a clip that’s 15 seconds, I go and check the clip and the game throws me off getting a loss 

if anyone else is having this issue please let me know

Ok it just happened again. Buddy of mine messaged me if I wanted to get on call duty after my game was over , so I messaged him back to tell him yeah I’ll be on shortly and  during that time it cut me out the game

I think if u go into ur xbox menu for a certain amount of time it kicks you out of the game for some reason

Again if this is something new I would only hope EA would tell the community these things . In the few years playing mut  I never had this problem shouldn’t you be able to text people or click a clip  and watch it?

If you enter the menu for 20 seconds on xbox it disconnects you from the EA servers and gives you that L

This is new.  I wonder ifthis is EA's "fix" to people who run the freeze glitch?  I recall seeing a video last year where folks would go to the main menu and do something and it would put the game into the freeze animation.

Watching the in-game replay is not the same as checking the recorded clip on the Xbox. The Xbox/Madden sees this as “leaving the game”. It will almost always disconnect you from the EA servers even if you aren’t in the middle of an actual game. 

Best solution is to watch those clips after the game

Are you looking to "see what’s going on" in H2H games?

I’ve done this so many times last year and this year it never happened. Until this week Also, I’ve given messages at night when playing upstairs due to not trying to wake up my wife .

i did not  want to make another topic about this matter, so I’m adding to this thread. 
 

it just happened again to me   I was playing someone and he sends a  small message I responded however, with a little bit more lengthy of a message and I guess in that time the game disconnected me. 
 

if this is a thing now why wouldn’t EA tell us somehow.

im having same issue lol i thought i was the only person that did this.

EA doesn't know coding. Is that simple. It's recent too because it happened to me about 2 weeks ago and I'm not doing that again but wow.. EA doing EA things.

I mean why can’t they communicate with us ? We are putting time and money  into their product the least they can do is tell us things like this . My question is , how can I communicate during a game if someone sends me a message? These games run about 30 minutes or so .

EA wouldn't piss on any of us, even if we were on fire.  One wouldn't think that simple transparency is too much to ask for from a billion dollar company.  Alas, they've basically given up on even trying at this point.  Communication sucks, but it's not as terrible and inept as their lackluster coding skills.  This game is such a steaming pile at this point, i've come to regard it as a casino for kids (and adults alike).  How very unfortunate, especially for the folks who just got this game for Christmas, expecting it to be decent.

I wish i had a suggestion for you, but i'd start to time your gameplay scenarios -- i suspect anything longer than a few (20-30ish, but i'm just guessing) seconds will trigger a disconnect.  I'm on PS5, so it's difficult for me to guess what you guys are up against, however i'd probably recommend having the mobile Xbox app on your phone, so you can message back your buds during games.  Ridiculous that basic functionality doesn't seem to even work, but holy hell the menu lag has been horrendous this year.  Somehow we're going backwards and the game continues to regress.

Although, all those complaints aside, the actual basic gameplay has so much promise if one doesn't think about it too terribly hard.  The reliance on abilities and animations makes the game wonky and inconsistent.  It's absurd that this is considered a "competitive" game, where folks have tens of thousands of dollars on the line.  I can barely get through a full offline H2H with my kid, but it is slightly better than last year.  YMMV.
