he was running dime 2-3, safeties came up everytime but play says it was cover 4 drop contain ? was he doing safety blitz and audibling everytime ? is there a different way to get your safeties up like that ?
never played a defense like that before, 3 down lineman and absolutely couldn't run against it, and didn't have a good enough strategy to beat it... win 7 in a row then get this in the super bowl, he was good, way better than me ofc but I've never seen somebody play d like that...
?

same, I even dm'd him, I never dm people pretty big loner but never seen somebody play D like that, whenever somebody keeps coming out in 3 down lineman I focus on running to try to get them back to 4 before focusing more on passing again, could never get him out of 3 down lineman, was shutting down the run with it, and trying to pass against all those dudes dropping isn't optimal... still tried but yeah, should have adjusted quicker and threw more underneath I guess...
Prob came out in Safety Blitz and audibled out
was he just using "show blitz"? I noticed his SS was still dropping back, but I only watched a couple times.
yeah, he's using show blitz it drops the safeties down into the box. you lost because you were way too fixated on gun plays. he can basically tell when you were passing and just call pass and you can't really throw much out of gun like that.
Set your defense to base in the coach adjustments. Change audibles to cover 4. Then run safety blitz audible out. I do this all the time

whats the signifigance of this? just to get them in the box? I've seen a youtube video about it as well? I typically just drop em in the box w/ show blitz? is the audible giving a better pass rush or what?
Don't think anyone has answered correctly yet. He is coming out in Double Safety Blitz and then audibles to cover 4 or whatever else and the safeties stay down. They do go back up if you make certain adjustments tho

Actually the people that wrote "show blitz" were also correct. That's how to bring your safeties down without having them actually blitz. Used to be called "bluff blitz" in prior Maddens
So he audibled and then showed blitz. Keeps the safeties in the box in that formation
appreciate the feedback, reviewed the film on detail - cover 4 wide side flat, underneath and mid-middle of field are pretty open, I should have used flats / underneath more, I think I mainly lost because I didn't hit the holes good enough in cover 4 and had huge trouble running on his 3 down lineman - I also think he had to have been pinching his D on a lot of plays because I've never had that much trouble running on 3 down lineman sets

I didn't even know show blitz was a setting will look more into it
just messed around in practice, I didn't even know show blitz was an option in coverage adj, literally the only one I never use, but noticed safeties come down further when you blitz them then audible than they do when you show blitz
based off how far they came down it looks like he was doing safety blitz then audibling, there is a small difference between the two and how far the safeties come down (show blitz they don't come as far)
show blitz will be a useful tool in zero blitz mans tho since safeties are way out of position otherwise (if not blitzing safeties)
probably better to blitz them then audible to different zero blitz where they don't blitz for slightly better alignment
