That happened to us over the summer. Almost same exact thing. They literally never fixed it. We gave up after a week and a half (we use internwt for everything, not just gaming our tv and everything so it was horrible lol) and got tmobile 5g. 

Now we have verizon fios for the hardwire and im ngl tmobile depends on where you live if its even available and how fast and reliable it is or isnt. There were times it made gaming online rough, especially a game like call or duty, madden was hit or miss, somwtimes it had some lag. But anythings better than nothing. 

You could go get it today and you bring it home and plug it in and your good to go right away. At least youd have something for the weekend. They usually have a free trial too so you cant lose. It has to be in or near a window so if your tv isnt near one youll have to use wifi like us not wired which is why we had some lag. Verizon has it too but we used tmobile. Couldnt hurt to look into.
