They are dumbing it down to an extent. I'm not big on flipping and audibling in and out of formations, or loop blitzing. The thing is, even playing MUT, which is an arcade version of the game, in no way is MUT realistic to regs or normal football. They are still trying to make it a football game and not a glitch escapade, so anytime they take that stuff out I'm in favor of it. People need to learn to adjust, not just for this patch but for every patch the rest of the year. The meta should change 4-5 times a year to keep things fresh. Being able to set up a blitz isn't a skill gap. Being able to recognize formations, and route concepts, and tendencies make game to game adjustments and cover with a user is a skill gap. Making 3-4 dudes miss in small spaces and make big plays is a skill gap 

If you are actually skilled these patches won't affect you at all.

The “cheese” defense weren’t hard to stop… get better at the game. You get the foh. Why does EA have to taylor their game always to people that play mind dead. MUT is their comp mode.

learn how to id and slide and what passing concepts you need to beat certain setups. adjust, same defenses have been around for the past 3-5 years in the base forms that many casuals run. That’s on you for not figuring it out. Legit you had to just block the RB on some of the loop setups, snd slide id for some mug looks. 

You’re on a facebook group & mut.gg, you’re obviously someone that has high interest in MUT. Do the research.

next it’s going to be remove bunch and tight because my defense gets destroyed by that setup and concept. learn and adjust, just stop complaining. Grow.

with these changes, games are going to be 35+ cause there is no defense and that’s annoying as hell. I’ll adjust and figure it out like I always do, i’ll be fine, question will be are you.

if you are good, you adjust.

some are happy, some are upset. but if you want to keep playing, you will adjust.

But the dollar and nickel blitz cheese made less sense than almost all o& the other garbage and bad coding in the game.   The interesting part will be to see how far they take it. Nobody would have ever gone to dollar formations against heavier sets (and this goes back about 5+ years) if LBs would have played the pass at all. Even user LBs wouldn’t animate.  The community got forced over to a bunch of 200lb guys in the box. And EA made that work.  Jason Kelce should pancake Ed Reed, Jalen Ramsey and all the rest almost every single time.  Allow physics to take hold and some LBs to be decent against the pass and then you get back to a chess game instead of the dumbed down and silly meta that we have. 
 

I think the MCS, and all of the tournament stuff for a few years, has been embarrassing for EA.  Watching the game get glitched out over and over on every play was a bad look.

This is a great, eloquent post with excellent points. Sums up the issues we were having. What I'm hoping for is something that at least makes sense to replace the safety sub meta we had before, such as LBs actually playing well. Or maybe that was included in the patch though I don't recall it saying anything about it.

personally I like the idea that the positions matter finally.  finally have to adjust to personnel on the field as it should be.  remember irl when the chargers were running 8 DBs on the field - they were a run funnel.  Madden has not penalized the people who played safeties all over the place and now they are getting what they deserve.

He is a try hard no life that plays the game to much and “labs” so he knows how to do all his lil cute glitch Insta pressure blitzes and now he’s mad that he can’t get instant pressure…as far as offense goes he Is simply a no life thar Audibles from formation to formation and now he’s mad he can’t spam that every down now 😂😂😂

If you're a cheeser that depended on glitches and bad coding to play JUST SAY THAT. Foh. None of that unrealistic mess should have been in the game. Loop blitzing was patched last year. No idea why it even made it into the start of this game.

I don't struggle to win. I also don't run bunch, 3 3 5 or loop blitz, so this changed hasn't affected the way I play. You on the other hand are obviously a cheeser.

Word, totally agree. This game changes all the time, just figure out what to do. I was using the loop blitz from time to time because knowing the meta is part of being good at any game. Can’t anymore, so what’s next im figuring it out, part of what keeps me in engaged.

I.dont have problems stopping anyone.... This isn't Madden 2015 for the PS3. D# plays just fine..... Adjust to your opponent.
