Fury, rage. How could I be so foolish.

I'll try to keep this short.

I purchased Madden 24 standard edition on the PS5. In this edition you get copies of both the PS4 and PS5 version.  Being that I played the PS5 version for Madden 23, I assumed when my PS5 automatically downloaded Madden 24, that I would be playing the P55 version once the game officially released. 

Wrong! I've been playing the PS4 version for the past 31 days. Wasted my time progressing on a version of a game I care nothing about.  NMS at that, making the pain of that useless grind that much more hurtful. Damn.

You’re not alone. EA messed up big time and never took ownership. Lots of forums on this. Same happened to me only reason I figured it out was momentum was missing and settings top bar was different. Still never got my preorder points either.

I made it to 53 on the season pass and 38 on the competitive pass.

I should've figured it out when I noticed the auction house was so bare.  

It took me complaining on here about FG kicks getting blocked. Another user pointed out that's an Old Gen problem. Low and behold.

Holy shit. So none of that carries over to the ps5 version? This is why i always buy the disc version of Madden but i don't understand why the game doesn't automatically download the version of the console you're on

it downloads both, but there is no difference in title. They are both named Madden NFL 24

Right!!!! Who would want to play an old gen version of a game on a new gen console.

crazy part is that it carried over last year. I bought a next gen console in the middle of the mut year last year and everything carried over. Wild not to keep it that way

Sounds like a mistake on their part. People spend money on this shit, would it hurt them to maybe let people know wtf version they are downloading?

So you're screwed out of MUT on ps5?  You pretty much have to start over?

You must've been on some hardcore autopilot. As someone who just switched from ps4 to ps5, the difference is very noticeable. I would think regressing after a year would be equally noticeable. I honestly don't know how this keeps happening to people.
