What are you guys doing to stop Gun Trips TE in M24?

Trips TE and Gun Bunch TE are the only schemes that give me headaches... although  Bunch TE is more gimicky and I think less "good" players run that as their primary scheme.  But to stop Trips TE you first and foremost have to take away the RPO Bubble (easy enough)... but also defend against really tough plays like PA Counter Go... Curl Flat... etc.  

I've spent a lot of time in practice mode and come up with a range of schemes that can take away certain aspects of this formation but they can just switch to something else in this op scheme.   I feel like I need to switch to one of these playbooks for a few Seasons to see how good players handle it.

So what's your go to against Gun Trips TE?

Cover 3. Send 5. Man up the middle receiver, tight end and halfback. You’ll end up with a deep third and a curl flat covering the trips side, and the seam ball isnt throwable. User responsibility is the slot OR the outside if they come to the weak side

It’s a fair amount of adjustments but I really like it against 3x1 sets

I'm pretty quick with adjustments... but they can always quick snap the RPO bubble.

Is there a Nickel package you prefer to use?

I like the stock package in 3 3 but I need to check out the NB package

I'm in Raiders defensive PB so I don't have 3-3.... 

I like BNOG or even Nickel 2-4 because you can easily gap shoot the RPO run and get a hitstick in the backfield.  You just pinch the DL and slant them out... and you can pretty much gap shoot any shotgun run.  Not sure if that works in 3-3.  

Also... I've started using Cover 3 Cloud (which has the Safety opposite the trips in the outside 1/3... as opposed to the CB like you have in Cover 3 Sky or Seam).  I've found it does a better job in covering deep crossers (like PA Counter Go) so you don't have to user it.

Hey man whatever works for you. I was playing a high level bunch player last night and it’s kinda what I was coming up with. I’ve also had success with just cover 3, send 3 and 2 man ups

What does 3-3 Nickel do differently than regular Nickel?
