the old gen is much better gameplay imo. i started on current gen bc of the no mixed economies, but if i could just take my content and go back i would in a heartbeat. not sure what to do with an 82 ovr team and 1m coins when i hate this gameplay and suck at it. old gen i can win 20 games in mut champs.
i wish they'd let you do a one time jump with all your content.
Hopefully its the last year for last gen. It holds everything back

Every game has to scale back because of the lower specs, especially the big ones like GTA, BG3, CP77, etc. Its just the limits of the system.
Bruh... this is what I've been saying for the past month now. The current gen version of the game is just awful for anyone who has been successful on the old gen version. I've had my XBox Series X for a long time now... and have tried to make the switch several times. I did a two week test right at the end of M23. I concluded that I would NEVER enjoy the slow ass version of the game. They intentionally nerfed defense in general and usering specifically... just to cater to new players and casuals.
I cannot believe the community has just accepted the "casualization" of MUT. I'm so glad I made the last minute decision to spend another year having fun... rather than be miserable with the current gen version. Sorry you're having second thoughts... but my advice is to bite the bullet and make the switch back. It's not too late.

The old gen version isn't holding anything back. There are two different versions of the game. EA puts almost no effort into the old gen version... hence the FG block exploit is still a thing now for the 3rd year in a row. All of their effort goes into the current gen version. And what's there to show for their efforts? A slow ass version of the game where offense is far too easy!
Oh yeah... they did bring us the tiny game clock and the useless catalog this year! Thanks EA!

I find current gen much more realistic, not these super fast arcade speeds like we had on old gen.
Hey man… to each his own. You should definitely play the version of the game that you enjoy the most. For me it’s not a matter of realism. I’ve invested a lot of time into MUT and I like the game to have a significant skill gap between new / casual players and experienced players.
I realize the current gen version of the game is where EA wants to go… so I’ll either have to make the switch down the road or give up playing Madden. But at least for the next 12 months I’m happy with the old gen version of the game.
They need to stop making these games for old gen.

yeah i totally agree. i would much much rather play on old gen but i already have all this stuff on new gen so idk if i should just take a loss or what.

Old Gen has no improvements to gameplay and doesn’t have a bunch of the new Gen gamepkay. They have to do little to nothing for the old gen as it has been the same game for 10 years.

Really? I switched over the next gen near the end of Madden 23 and loved it. I can actually pass the ball and play zone. Old gen was nothing but spinner and I formation stretch w x factors online.
I just switched to new gen about 2 weeks ago and new gen Madden is definitely a big change from old gen. IRL you don't have someone running around the field taking away multiple routes. It does take some getting used to buy it also works for you. Your opponent is in the same boat as you are. I do like old gen Madden alot but new gen is alot more realistic and more grounded.
Current gen makes you have to understand route combinations and game plans better rather than just running all over the place in arcade mode of old gen. It takes some learning but it’s the superior gameplay. You just have to embrace the change, if you want to stay with old gen it’s a dying breed
