Hello newcomers and oldcomers, today me and Amungusbeest are sharing some important information regarding Simulation GM, the forum game QB283 started at the end of March of this year. Since then it has gained over 20,000 views and over 500 replies. Due to his not being able to manage it with some time constraints, he held a commissioner vote in which we 2 were elected. First, we'd like to talk about some important dates for getting this show on the road.
August 11: A topic is posted where teams are open for the taking.
August 15-17: Lineups are assembled by yours truly and Amungusbeest as hopefully, lineup builder is live when the deluxe edition of Madden 24 drops. If lineup builder is not up until the standard edition is not released until the 18th, we will get the lineups done and give them all out at the same time.
August 18: Lineups are given out and trading and editing may begin.
Rules
Now to the rules and the announcing of the Top 5 lineups of Simulation GM in MUT 24.
How to set up your team
Once you reply to the post where you can claim a team, you will reserve that team and receive the lineup link which you must clone so you can edit. From there you can trade with other members via DM.

Once you make a trade, your team is locked in.
-How to complete a trade
Once you are in agreement on a trade, you must DM your commissioner or reply to the topic with the details of the trade.
-A trade proposal is open until pulled back
For example, if you offer 84 DK Metcalf for 84 Christian McCaffrey and DK gets an upgrade but you never took back the trade, your trade partner can accept and you have to give them the player. After a trade with players is made, both members must take the player(s) they traded away out of their lineup and can then add the player(s) they traded for.
-Cross-League trading
Cross-league trading is allowed, but both members need to DM their commissioner or post that it was done.
-Trade Block
The trade block is used to inform your opponents on who they could be receiving in a trade with you. This is shown in the original post next to your name and lineup link.
-Trade Deadline
There is no trade deadline.
-Real-life Trades and free-agent signings
Real-life trades do not translate to Sim GM. However, free agent signings by your team in real life can be added to your team.
Draft Picks
-Trading them
You can trade all draft picks you are assigned.
-Purpose
When a draft pick you have gets a card, you get that player. You get the specific pick number, not the team you own's draft pick if you have traded it. Not all draft picks get cards outside of the first round. if the pick you have does not get a card, then you get nothing.
-Cashing in
To get your draft picks on your team, you must add the ones that got cards to your lineup and then tell your commissioner so he can take them off of your space.
Upgrades on players
-Non-Oop Upgrade
When a player on your team gets a new MUT card that is not OOP, you can add his new card to your lineup.
-OOP Upgrade
No out-of-position cards are currently allowed in your lineup.
Legends
-What is a Legend?
A Legend is a retired player who gets a card in MUT. Each team is allowed 1 on offense and 1 on defense.
-When another owner already has the legend on their team
If another owner has a legend, no one else can have that card until that person changes their legend.
-What legends you are allowed to have
No legends that never played for your team in real life can be used in your lineup.
**All current rules are subject to change because of balancing or because maybe we feel like they should be changed.**
