Just got shredded by a guy running IForm Hulk every play.

I've only seen this formation a few times this year but I got absolutely destroyed - broke an 18 game win streak for me.  Apparently it's only in the "Run Balanced" playbook.  

I'm in Raiders defense and I usually can handle most toters with 3-4 Odd and 43 Even 61.  But with Faalele coming out soon... I'm thinking I need to change my playbook.  Maybe Broncos which has 3-4 Odd, 43 Even 61, but also 4-4 Split (at the cost of losing Big Nickel Over G).  

What other defensive playbooks have the best run stopping formations?  Maybe Multiple D with 5-2?

I know the 4-6 pb has 4-4 formation along with BNoG. I also hear of people using the play double safeties go ,where the safeties come down into the box and then when you audible to another play the safeties will still stay in the box. I hate how some of these players literally run all game long and how op the running game can be.

I've grown to the point in my MUT career that I don't mind ANY sort of cheesy scheme.  If it works for my opponent then it's my job to figure out a way to stop it (or at least slow it down).  

The two schemes I hate losing to the most are 

• "committed toters" who don't mind taking their 3-4 yards per play and will run even on 4th down.  Up until now, that was primarily the goal line offense spammers... but I had more trouble stopping IForm Hulk.

• RPO bubble spammers... mostly Bunch TE and the various Trips TE formations with the RPO bubble.  One of the worst versions of this is IForm Slot with the stretch run to one side and the bubble to the other side that you have to watch out for.

I agree. Ive always said your opponent cant do anything that you cant do or learn to do but running the ball every single play has got to be the most pathetic way of playing. Relying on fall forward animations to get you 3+ yards a play and running every 4th down knowing you'll get at least the 3 yds you need. Just a terrible way to play. I couldn't play like that even if I was knowledgeable enough to know how to run each play and know how to get the best blocking.

... don't forget chewing the clock the entire game so your opponent has limited opportunities to score!

This play is all you need as long as you have the correct personnel.  It's helped me shut down the run a lot since I've started using it not to mention you get a free shot at the quarterback if it's a play action.

I don't see why people hate on running the ball so much.  Cheese is cheese man.  A run cheese smells just as bad as the one play touchdown cheese.  I see people that pass the ball all the time and keep running the same Crossing routes over and over so really I don't see any difference.  

Not to mention most folks only use the same three man blitzes the whole time they're on defense.  If you're going to run the same play on defense the whole time I'll just keep running on you and it's your job to stop me.

That's also the beauty of MUT in my opinion, the game allows you to build your teams strengths to match your game plan.

Thanks man... I'm gonna try that out.  And change up my abilities to Tackle Supreme and Secure Tacklers.  After Bettis and Faalele drop tomorrow... I'm thinking everyone's gonna be running the ball.

Do you run that stock or or are you slanting your Dline out?... blitzing LBs?  And who are you usering... one of the MLBs or one of the Safeties?

This man, football is a chess game. I'm gonna play to my strength until you beat it. Once you make me adjust I need to have a counter. If you can't beat my strengths that's your fault not mine. If I don't have a counter once you figure me out that's my fault. Too many people complain that they can't throw corner routes, or beaters every play, or run every play, or they think their man coverage should just box everything every play. madden is a complex game, you gotta figure out all the little nuances.

It's kind of an unorthodox play especially due to the Personnel that is uses so definitely change your lineup accordingly and run it in practice before you commit to it.  Here's what the Personnel comes out to look like: 

 CB1  CB2  FS1  SS1

MLB1    LOLB1

ROLB1  LE2  DT2  DT1  LE1 

There are a bunch of ways I like to play it depending on what the opponent is doing but for the most part you want to user LOLB1 and hit the Gap full speed.  If your LOLB1 isn't fast enough then sub/switch them with MLB1 during the play selection.  You can Blitz the other line backer but sometimes I like them to fall back a little bit at first in case it's an outside run or a pass.   I'll also often manually Audible one of the linebackers that I'm not usering to the flat to stop any throws to the running back or to get the linebacker running in the direction of a outside run.  

I would also highly recommend using secure tackler on your linebackers.

I learned this technique from playing another guy that was killing me with it.  If you can't beat them join them LOL.  Not sure if it'll work for you but like I said it's really help me stop the run for the most part.  Hopefully this doesn't turn into some crazy meta now that I just wrote the book on it LOL.

I'm coming for ya Picle Hulk.  I'm now loaded up with Tackle Supremes, Secure Tacklers, Inside Stuffs, and No Outsiders on every player on the field!  

Next I'll be complaining about how I can't stop the pass anymore.  =)
