Mahomes, despite being hobbled and basically on one leg, won (another) Lombari... but unsure if that means he broke the curse or is just impervious to things that would hamper most mere mortals. Hope some of that Mahomes vibe rubbed off on Trey Lance during their offseason workouts, heh. Kyle Banana-Hands certainly won't be learning to develop young QB talent anytime soon, so being within proximity to the greatest QB talent of this generation is the best hope i've got at the moment. Sam Darnold definitely ain't it. Purdy, while a lovely story, even in the best of times, i don't envision him becoming an elite caliber starting QB. Absolutely competent and able to win some games, including playoff games, but i don't think big cock Brock will ever be a top 10 talent. Anyhoo, i'm getting way off topic, thanks again for all who chimed in and allowed this to become a "trending" topic.

Oof, a Trey Lance style broken leg/ankle on a run between the Tackles would be sad & gruesome enough, sheesh. Go big or go home, I guess... with the Madden Curse. 😵🏈🏆
I wouldn't be surprised if Josh wins a Lombardi and Superbowl MVP, a la Patty Mahomes. The new inverse curse. EA is so bad, that they wrap it all the way around until it's good again, liek a sailor/ship circling the globe... all the way there and back again. So bad it's good.

I mean....it did seem "real" for awhile.... years and years of the Madden Cover player having horrendous seasons, injuries etc.... but then as everyone mentions.... Mahomes was successful.
But then.... right when you think the curse is broken...
BOOM!!!
John Madden DIES and is on the cover!
