What I've noticed about GT's so far

Here are some things about GT's in the past 4 weeks that I have noticed:

1. Excessive amounts of players in a single position

There have been a lot of players in a just a few positions.

4 QB's

3 SS's

5 HB's

Why? Especially for SS's, why?

2. They can have great abilities, but their stats suck or have great stats and sucky abilities

There have been a lot of players with great stats at reveal and they end up being terrible or mid. Examples:

Jon Runyan

Isaiah Pacheco

And there were a few more that I can't remember but you get the point

3. GLORIFIED GAME-CHANGERS

With this new release we did get 2 more GT tokens, but we now have 4! FOR THE 20 GT'S AVAILABLE!!!

If EA want us to take the "Fan Appreciation" hint, they better starts appreciating us!

4. They all kind of suck in some way

I don't think I've seen a GT I've actually wanted to spend my coins on from the past few weeks. I've been thinking of Lamar and I might pick up Jon Runyan. What about you? They're pretty mid.

What do you think of GT's so far this year?

Unfortunately every year we get a ton of the same position. This year it‘s even worse because of the AP situation and what EA did with all of the abilities that start ON.

Making a bunch of GT pass rushers wouldn’t make sense because the TT Remix and AKA pass rushers will still be better with Unstoppable Force. Also, a lot of people don’t use linebackers so that pretty much leaves us with DB’s on defense.

On offense you can’t make o-line GT’s so you’re left with QB, HB, WR, TE, and FB. If the average MUT player pulls a GT their first thought is likely not going to be “I wanna make my favorite FB”. So you pretty much get QB, HB, WR, and maybe a couple TE’s.

I definitely want some of the GT’s on the list but this batch that just released was absolutely TERRIBLE. MJG would’ve been my DT for the rest of 23 but his abilities are not what I want for a DT. Byars would’ve been better if he was the FB version and with different abilities.

He has a point though, SS isn't that big of a deal and I noticed that some ratings don't add up to be a 99

Hits the nail on the head. Either through restrictions with XFactors on and 0 AP abilties were stuck. 

SS are fine with overwhelming amounts because you can use them as FS/SS/user/CB. 
Lamar and Peppers have been the best by far. 

Others are plagued by bad abilities (LOOKING AT YOU MJG. I HATE YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU DID TO MASSACRE MY BOY) or just outclassed by whats already there. If MJG had DON and Inside stuff he would be perfect and should be on every team. (but again, glorified GC with limited tokens but hes one of my fav players all time). 

Im really nervous to see the other meta cards now like Carm and Faalele. Even with perfect stats, Xfactor start on or something will be the same or better even though they outclass everyone else at what they are. Like Slow said, Byars should be FB so you can use him at HB, FB, TE and had HL and tank.

Lamar - unbelievably good

Moss - good and at times great

Olsen - solid playmaker excellent blocker

Peppers - did nothing till motivators added.  Now he is phenomenal

Mean Joe - sadly just a trophy card

Collin Johnson - top tier

Byars - small sample but glitchy good so far

All the cards I have tried really pop with motivator boosts of some kind and even these GTs are no exception.  It’s possible to do some crazy hybrid tt’s atm.  I’m running all these mentioned and all of them (except Byars) have at least x1 tier 3 motivator boost tacked on.  (49ers, Cardinals, Panthers, Giants and (2) Steelers at tier 3)

And we have Pola-Mao and Bo Jackson

Only GT I took was Runyan and only because he gets Charger chems. My TT boosts are so crazy I've got a 94 boosted to a 99. Never seen a +5 in years prior.

what motivators are you running on peppers?  i just equipped Power Run 3/3 panthers.

mean joe and byars GT are the biggest whiffs of the GT's imo.
