With 98 Play Rec he should definitely be able to play on his own... I havent played enough games with him yet to see.. I have him at FS... I won't use him as my Sub LB because I can get 4 abilities on Ryan Neal for 2AP..

Yep exactly. Neal's ball in the air trait is Balanced whereas Mao's is Aggressive, so usering Neal over Mao is the move imo.
I'm using Byard and Woodson as my safeties.
