So I was watching a very popular streamer...and I do like his channel and his videos...but he was showcasing 99 Mahomes.....
Mahomes looked great actually. I am not a fan of that sidearm release...but the gameplay was great. Mahomes' stats at the end of the game were really fantastic...he threw for 400 and 4 TDs, I think a perfect passer rating.
Here's the thing though, the Qb he was playing against (Cunningham) threw for 395. Cunningham is a great QB, sure, but the question really becomes, is it the card or is it the player using the card? The streamer is an excellent Madden player as was his opponent but my takeaway was that if you are good enough with the right scheme, Cunningham is just as good as Mahomes.
I guess, when watching these guys use all the new cards , bear in mind that it's possible for other cards to perform just as well in the right hands
