One thing I hate about EA: they make zero football sense

In what world does Baker Mayfield deserve a better card than Jared Goff? It absolutely blows my mind that EA gives Baker Mayfield a 94 flashback while giving Jared Goff an 88 Super Bowl card. Jared Goff has been a substantially better QB throughout his career than Baker Mayfield. Jared Goff has one of the most legendary games EVER against the Chiefs, winning the game 54-51. Jared Goff did better on a terrible Lions team when Baker Mayfield was atrocious on a Browns that was loaded with weapons. Goff also won NFC player of the week, & beat quality teams down the stretch. Where was the TOTW? EA should be ashamed of themselves for giving BAKER MAYFIELD a better card than Jared Goff. EA doesn’t know football & it’s truly sad.

MUT should make football sense. Mayfield gets a flashback card after one of the SHITTIEST seasons by a starting QB. Mayfield threw 4 picks against the Packers this year & single handledly lost his team games. Goff deserves better than an 88, & we as football fans deserve better than EA’s non sensical garbage.

cuz flashbacks is based On one any game and super bowl cards are based on how they do In the super bowl. they want to keep it fresh and not always have the best players get the best cards.

In the last half of the year, Goff helped elevate the Lions & got some quality wins. Mayfield floundered all season with a lot better of a team. This game STINKS but I will still continue to play it because it’s the only football game out there.

Exactly my point, they should have given Goff either a flashback card or TOTW. Give him a flashback card for the legendary shootout against the Chiefs. Not reward shitty play from Baker with a flashback card when Goff didn’t get one almost the entire year. EA doesn’t know football.

They create the cards on a single game performance and Baker's was from the playoff game in 2021, my question is why do you want a 95 Goff when you can get a higher ovr from that performance?  They did this at the beginning of the year too, would you have wanted a 87 goff then instead of Daniel Jones' card?

I want a 97 Jimmy Garoppolo.  I will settle for Steve Young though.

I’m not saying he played great, but the man made it to a Super Bowl already & he’s only 27 years old. My point is that they should have given him either a decent veterans or flashback or TOTW card instead of giving it to Baker who’s been a trash QB all season. The Browns 100% would have been in the playoffs with Goff, they were one of the favourites for the Super Bowl at the start of the year & didn’t even make playoffs due to Baker. Goff has shown the ability to be a top level QB when surrounded by the right pieces. Baker has not, so why reward the bum with a better card?

If they make a 95/96 flashback or vereran Goff I’d be very happy. He beat the Cardinals, Vikings & Packers. Why did they not give him a TOTW card for any of those performances when he beat better teams with one of the worst rosters in football? It makes no sense to me. Look at Goff’s passer ratings throughout the season. The man was not bad at all, especially given the talent around. His best receiving options at the beginning of the year were literally his TE in Hockenson & RB in Swift. St Brown & Reynolds shined at the end of the year after he was able to build some chemistry with them. Goff has to be one of the most disrespected QB’s in the entire league, the dude was a #1 pick, he has elite arm talent & has taken a team to the Super Bowl already. I’m not saying he’s a top 10 QB, but he’s top 15 no doubt & that’s nothing to sneeze at.

Also, I ain’t even a Lions fan. I’m a big Texans fan so I’m not bias or anything. If the Rams don’t win the Super Bowl this year, the Lions may have just won the trade considering what they gave up to get Stafford & with Goff being a young QB who still has time to get better. Peyton Manning this year said on the Manningcast that Goff is a QB you can win a championship with, I’m pretty sure that should hold a lot more weight than stupid media narratives.
