My son and I did the sets and played a solo battle on veteran and are now 27/30 – 3 XP away from the first Zero Chill XP reward. Should we just wait until season 3 drops before continuing with the Competitive Pass?
It‘s almost ridiculous that EA is still including Zero Chill XP in the Competitive Pass when most people completed it weeks ago…

Comp Pass doesn’t reward XP until you hit 30CP so it literally doesn’t matter that he did the sets.
It really doesn't matter cause you will be able to max out season 3 and still have a month or more left until season 4. I'm not waiting cause I always end up maxxed out with plenty of time left. They really should drop the new season whenever they have a new competitive pass though.

Yes but he can’t play any more solo battles so he’ll lose out on those. If you don’t do the sets you can at least play the ones on Monday and Tuesday and not lose them if you watch hitting the stat objectives.

Got it, that makes sense. I rarely do any Solo Battles so I wouldn’t even think about that.
Just did the 2 sets in the Comp Pass to get me to 20CP and I’ll hold there til Season 3 so I don’t miss out on any easy XP.
The move is to play games on MVP but don’t get the stat points Maxed. Have the stat points and solo battle points (6 fumbles, 3000 yards of offense) all close to completion for Thursday. Just collect the points from winning games (each game 1 point, win 2 games 2 points, win 5 games) if you can be as close to 30 points without going over then you can maximize season 3 xp to start. Once season 3 starts, playing a solo battle can get you around 62 points (stat points each worth 6x7 stats, plus 20 points for the elite sets) and 50,000 xp

I pretty much do the same thing heading into a new season, but for h2h. I'll play seasons instead of MUT Champs since season wins give less CP per game won. Also, I won't complete the 2 - 10 CP sets and do my best to to complete as few of the stat objectives as possible. I'm still able to play h2h games before the season reset while staying under 30 CP, so I can claim the season xp from the field pass on Thursday.

I too have 27 CP, and at this point I am going to pause until Thursday's S3 drop. I did mine by playing and winning all available Solo Battles on MVP until today, and making sure that I didn't trigger more than two stat objectives, and forcing no more than five fumbles.
30 is the magic number, and to those who have posted suggesting otherwise, the first XP drop doesn't trigger until then. Always helps to understand how things work, I find.

Risking your pass gets glitched and gives you too many points as well, that happened to me last week, basically maxed the pass day 1
