Question about user catching

id like to hear from several different people how they like to decide if/when to user catch. And if they do are you agg catching all the time (triangle on ps5) or do you find it important enough to literally judge every catch scenario on a case by case basis and use square for RAC or x for possession catch. I realize it would be different buttons or keys dep on your platform of choice, but hopefully you know what I mean.   

my reason for asking this is because I find my 95 OVR WR‘s dropping some passes that 

  are HIGHLY questionable. and this happens against CPU as well so its not the other players abilities. shit is mentally taxing…..

Definitely situational, if I'm on the sideline or in traffic, almost always possession catch, if I'm free in the open RAC, if it's contested agg. Or if you're clicking on to jetpack/rocket catch, then agg as well. Also, if you're in traffic and you don't possession catch, you're probably dropping the ball.

I got to paying attention to my own self and i noticed I’m always wanting to hit triangle/agg catch.  I almost never use RAC like you said.  But bow that I’m thinking about it I may need to use X/possession catch more.

I think there’s been some adjustments with the recent patch because I’ve matched up h2h in seasons with 3-4 different teams that had no abilities and 5-10 CB’s and when I had one on one with Lamb or Moss it was still getting picked. Saving up for Calvin now

It’s definitely situational. In heavy traffic over the middle or sideline I’m possession catching. If I have green grass in front of me I’m RACing and if it’s contested I’m agging. If your agg catch regularly, I do believe you have a higher chance of dropping the ball. Sometimes just not pressing anything might be the right decision either. I’ve found by agg catching, the player will stop in an instance when if I RACed, he’s running right into a safety and the ball gets picked. But definitely try to not just use agg.

Personally i never use aggressive catching cause when i did it will always just bounce off the receivers hands and end up in the arms of some stray db……..but its situational for me between RAC and possession catches or just not pressing any button at all and let nature take its course
