Does speed matter at all with offensive lineman?

I switched to the OL combine chem, and i’m just wondering if the +6 speed boost it gives has any affect

Yes they get the next level faster and get on LBs and DBs downfield. Also faster o lineman means faster pull blocks also your RB's are less likely to out run their blocker.

Speed helps lineman get out to blitzing dbs quicker, helps on pulling plays, and helps when they are blocking downfield.

When I do a run play where a guard pulls and is lead blocker for the halfback, it helps a lot of he can get his big ole body moving with a quickness and clear that lb/db out of the rushing lane. Otherwise my halfback has to wait that split second that makes the play slow to devlelop instead of the explosive up the middle run that knocks the defense back and chasing after the ball. Or I accidently runs past to get tackled by the lb/db the guard was supposed to block.
