This is a great ability for getting separation against man coverage. The downside is that it's 4-6 AP. It's hard to justify spending this much when Short In Elite provides a similar effect for the most common routes that beat man coverage and costs a lot less. However, if you run an offense that involves slot WRs lining up outside of the numbers, Slot-o-Matic is clearly better than Short In Elite. If you can equip Slot-o-Matic for a discount, it can be quite valuable.
