Matchup Nightmare works well when you're facing a linebacker, so it's best used on a TE. It works based on the normal position of the defensive formation, not the player in that position. For example, if your opponent uses a safety at MLB, the ability will still activate if that player is defending your receiver with Matchup Nightmare.
